Beautiful vintage Japanese lacquer jewellery music box with delicate blossom detailing and a hand painted Mount Fuji scene inside the lid.

Finished in glossy black with floral motifs in red, white and gold tones across the exterior. The lid is framed with shimmering abalone style inlay, adding a subtle iridescent detail when it catches the light.

Open it up and you’ll find a charming painted landscape of Mount Fuji and trees to the inside of the lid. The interior features a two tier design with side opening compartments and original tassel pulls, all lined in a warm rust velvet.

Complete with working lock and key. Base stamped “Dyson Foreign”.

Condition

Good vintage condition. Age related wear including small chips and scuffs to the lacquer, and flowers particularly along edges. Some light surface marks inside the lid. Please see photos for full detail.
